I love this town.

Listen, I like a good art gallery/museum as much as anybody. But sometimes you gotta go to low places to find high art.

And that’s one of the things I love about GNV. Where else can you find a municipal parking garage that doubles as an art gallery? Right downtown where SW 1st Avenue meets SW 2nd Street.

Oh the faces you will see. Sneers and frowns and gasps and sighs.

And then you gotta ask yourself. Am I staring at them, or are they staring at me?

Oh, and you can park there too boot. For free.

Patterns within patterns within patterns.

And chase scenes without the cars. Subversives gone wild.

Gorillas and dragons and gators and octopi oh my!

And all creatures great and tall.

Get the message? They spell it out for you.

The only place where you can get caught engaging in distracted parking.

Past tense and future tension.

“Knowledge is good” (my favorite quote from “Animal House”) But imagination rocks.

You gotta problem with that pal?

And this is just on the outside.

Giving peace a chance.

You don’t even have to read between the lines to grok to it here.

And after partaking of a feast for the eyes you can step outside for a drink and dinner on a street where, um, cars used to look for a place to park.

Is this a great town or what?
