Between the storms: A refuge of light, color and creativity

Where oh where is the Cat In The Hat when you need him?

Looking for light, color and creativity on a dreary day? Get yourself to The Harn

Helene has come and gone. Milton is just around the corner.

And it’s raining. And raining. And raining.

Gray and damp outside. A world of color and creativity inside

And then it occurred to me that I hadn’t been to The Harn in ages.

Which comes first? The chicken or the rain?

And there is always something new and different there to see and experience

Lots of comings and goings at The Harn

Really, you ought to go and see for yourself. Before the next tempest gets here.

Worlds of difference

As the fellow said: Waiting for a hurricane is like being stalked by a turtle.

City scapes going to extremes

So there’s still time.

Here’s just a sample of what awaits.

Hands doing somebody’s work
If I can’t ride I can at least see others wheeling merrily along
A carnival. A walk in the woods. A bizarre
Every 5 years the Harn exhibits UF faculty art
Images hand picked by staff to engage and reflect upon
Incense but no peppermints
Here’s hoping Milton won’t visit this upon us
Hurricanes are a fact of life in on our peninsula and always have been. Check out The Harn’s Florida art gallery

Really, you can’t reason with hurricane season.

Forget the cat’s hat, The Harn is where it’s at

So why not ake a break and get lost for a while amid the light, color and creativity that is The Harn.
