Charge of the wet brigade
Fine, so I’m a member of the “bed wetting brigade” A pearl clutcher. Nervous Nelly. Say what you will. Sticks and stones.
But I am also a lifelong Democrat who would vote for a yellow dog if it had a D after its name on the ballot. And this Yellow Dog Democrat fervently hopes that Joe Biden’s name will not be on the November ballot.
I will vote for him if he is. But let’s stop pretending that he’s capable of leading this nation well into his late 80s. Democrats can do better.
Pass the Depends.

What’s in and what’s out in the Free State Of Floriduh
In: Really, really, really big bottles of wine.
Out: Lab grown meat.
In: Blind man’s bluff at the beach.
Out: Funny smelling weed.
In: State control of virtually anything that can be said, taught or read in the classroom.
Out: Freedom.
Drink up Florida man. At least there’s plenty of wine.

Yes, of course he did.
The Great DeSanitizer vetoed $500,000 to the University of Florida Water Institute to conduct a study of the long dormant (redundant?) Rodman Reservoir dam. Said study “intended to provide our state legislators current information so that they will be able to make an informed decision on the future of the dam,” according to Jim Gross, executive director of Florida Defenders of the Environment.
As Craig Pittman writes in Florida Phoenix:
This might seem like a minor item compared to the massive size of our $116.5 billion budget, but consider the history involved. This veto puts DeSantis on the wrong side of Florida’s longest-running environmental wrangle.
“We had 40 years straight with seven different governors, four Democrats and three Republicans, who endorsed restoration of the Ocklawaha River,” Gross told me, rattling off the names that ran from Reubin Askew to Charlie Crist. “To my knowledge, neither Rick Scott nor Ron DeSantis have ever commented on restoring the Ocklawaha River.”
But at least neither of them had taken any action to oppose it — until now.
But to be fair, the anti-Ron had his reasons for the veto.
He just hasn’t bothered to tell anybody what those reasons were.
Because once you start explaining yourself people will say you’re woke.
