I mean, it’s all pure political Chaos Theory.

And whether or not the Butterfly Net Effect is valid science, it seems practically invented to explain the impact of a certain White Right Sociopathic Knight who nearly every second of every day manages to whip his minions into a state of frothy frenzy with every half-baked resentment he ejects, with machine gun rapidity, from his rancid pie hole.
Hence the wave of mostly racist conspiracy theories that began to spew forth within minutes of that bridge collapsing.
A prime example pointed out by USA Today’s Rex Huppke: A right-wing figure on Newsmax, in a clip shared widely on the site formerly known as Twitter, opined, ludicrously: “I’m no expert on what’s going on in the seas but all I would say is that if you talk to employers in America, they’ll tell you that filling slots with employees who aren’t drug-addled is a very huge problem.”
What that has to do with a ship crewed entirely by Indian nationals is beyond me, but OK.
And, Dude! What is it about three little initials that make so many Right (White?) Thinking MAGAs practically foam at the mouth?
D: Diversity. E: Equity I:Inclusiveness.
Perfectly respectable words that have taken on sinister connotations thanks to the tortured, twisted logic shoved down our throats by pols like Trump and Florida’s Great DeSanitizer.
No mystery, really, it’s just good old fashioned American racism repackaged and writ large.
It is the triumph of the post-MAGA Republican Party that it has Made Bigotry Great Again.
“DEI did this!” Fumed Florida MAGAster Anthony Sabatini of the bridge disaster.
“This is what happens when you have governors who prioritize diversity over the wellbeing and security of citizens,” chimed in Utah pol Phil Lyman.
Wait! What?
So if a butterfly flaps its wings in Marxist Berkeley….

We’ve seen this movie before.
A plane crashes and it’s obviously because some aviation company’s DEI policies led to the hiring of “those people.” And everybody in MAGA land knows exactly who “those people” are. And that skin color alone disqualifies them from flying, or even working on, airplanes.
So mucho kudos to Brandon Scott, the African-American (i.e. DEI) mayor of Baltimore, who was quick to call out all the dog whistlers for exactly who they are.
We’ve been the bogeyman for them since the first day they brought us to this country, and what they mean by DEI in my opinion is duly elected incumbent.
We know what they want to say, but they don’t have the courage to say the N-word, and the fact that I don’t believe in their untruthful and wrong ideology…
…who I am and where I come from scares them, because me being at my position means that their way of thinking, their way of life of being comfortable while everyone else suffers is going to be at risk, and they should be afraid because that’s my purpose in life.
So let us pause to appreciate the MAGA Butterfly Net Effect in all its magnificent glory.
The Great DeSanitizer demonizes DEI.
Allowing the University of Florida to sanitize itself and rediscover its Southern White roots.
Causing a rock to sail through the window of GNV’s DEI (Duly Elected Incumbent) Mayor.
And a bridge to fall in Baltimore.
Coincidence?
I think not!
