Kudos to Glenn Terry, who came all the way from South Florida to give GNV a dose of, um, culture.

Well, not exactly culture. More like weirdness, but in very large doses indeed.

The first annual Flying Pigs Parade had it all. Guys dressed like girls. Girls seeking fun. Dancers and chanters and cloggers and hummers oh my! More liberal causes than you could shake a shocked Republican at.

There seemed to be an overarching theme to this parade of nonsense. But I couldn’t quite put my finger on it.

I dunno. Something tells me that The Great DeSanitizer would have felt like, um, fish out of water. I just hope that Chuckles our legislative clown, won’t seize on this as yet another excuse to steal something from GNV.

But people were having fun. Remember fun, Chuckles? No, of course not.

Hey Meester…wanna buy a banned book?

The jousters are looking for a new home. The AAUWers just wanna get equal pay.

Proof positive that evolution is a liberal fantasy. They still walk among us folks.

Step in time, step in time! You can bury your dead but don’t leave a trace (sly Eve of Destruction reference).

Signs of our times.

Pigs didn’t actually fly. But politicians did wear purple pork pie hats (just not Chuckles).

Kazoos, accordions, washboards and hula hoops oh my!

Life, the universe and everything.

Chuckles, Chuckles, we barely knew ye.

Hi Ron, I loved your pictures and comments about the Flying Pig Parade!! So many of us were taking pictures but you really captured the best of it, both pictures and commentary( oh wait, you’re a professional at doing that 🤔). I wonder if I could chat with you a bit. I live in the Duckpond and I first heard about the Sweetwater Branch Greenway and the larger plans when you either wrote, and or,spoke about it for our DNA Newsletter and general meeting. Since then I got involved in the Sarah’s Sweetwater Greenway Loop…, as a Duckpond “captain “.
Brian Miller, from the DNA suggested that maybe the two of us would be interested in speaking at this month’s DNA general meeting and give our perspectives on how the Duckpond can be involved in our segment of the Sweetwater Greenway Loop.
Thanks! Pam Lahiff, 305-4797854 506 NE 2nd Street
