Ottawa is my favorite Canada city. Right now it’s all dressed up for the holidays.

And seeing it by night is a visual feast.

I dunno. Some sort of glass UFO maybe.

Confederation Park.

The National Gallery radiates a ghostly blue after dark.

Quebec awaits just across the Ottawa River. (I wonder if they call it the Quebec River on the other side.)

Parliament Hill seems to be perpetually undergoing construction. Or reconstruction. Or maybe deconstruction.

There is no off duty for bronze, um, performers.

We like to stop in at Chateau Laurier for a quick drink.

Byward Market is always hopping.

The National Arts Center.

Wait! What?

The Rideau Canal. Nearly ready for ice skating.

The Big Guy is still selling cookies in Ottawa. The locks locked up for the winter.

Apparently they built their capital city in a remote location (away from the St. Lawrence) to protect it against American invasion. It didn’t work.
