Stopping by The River on a cold, sunny day

Two days sitting in meetings in Tallahassee and then a long drive home. Started to get drowsy around Mayo (these days I prefer to skip the interstate) so I stopped at Branford’s Ivy Memorial Park for a brisk walk along the Suwannee.

It was a chilly, sunny day…perfect weather in other words for a ‘wake-up dammit’ stroll.

If you want to clear out the cobwebs and get your bearings, you can’t do better than this.

Because from here you can know exactly where’s where and what’s what on this great, placid river.

Plus, some steps with which to taunt my Apple Watch’s bossy fitness app.

Apropos of nothing at all. I happened to take this shot at Cascades Park just before leaving Tallahassee. But water is a terrible thing to waste, so here it is.

Because it’s my blog, right?
