So here we’ve been trekking into North Carolina mountains in search of autumn color. Plodding up this trail and stumbling down that one.

Turns out all we needed to do was head to downtown Hendersonville for a bit of lunch and a technicolor display of nature’s best.

Listen, Hendersonville is a great little mountain city in its own right. It’s got a lively downtown that always seems to be bustling with activity.

But right now Hendersonville is positively preening.

I know it’s not gonna last long. But the foliage on Main Street is stunning.

Imagine all those leaf peekers ranging far and wide in search of exactly what Hendersonville has on full display.

Not to mention the colorful bears.

When art imitates life.

Drop in and check it out.
